We are currently seeking a motivated Risk Analyst to join our team in Brisbane. As a key member of the team, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to developing your capabilities in risk management within a dynamic project environment.
This role presents an excellent opportunity to build practical experience across a portfolio of major projects and strategic initiatives. You will contribute to risk workshops, assessments and reporting activities while working closely with multidisciplinary teams to help identify, understand and manage project risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project teams in identifying, assessing and managing risks across a range of projects.
- Build effective working relationships with clients, project teams and stakeholders across the business.
- Assist Senior Technical Risk Facilitators in delivering risk workshops and hazard studies, including preparing materials, capturing discussions and documenting outcomes.
- Help maintain project risk registers by tracking actions, updating risk information and supporting ongoing monitoring activities.
- Develop proficiency in Hatch's risk management systems and tools to support accurate reporting and analysis.
- Contribute to risk reporting and data insights that help project teams make informed decisions.
- Support the delivery of risk training, workshops and knowledge-sharing initiatives across the region.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to promote a practical and proactive approach to risk management.
You Bring to the Role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
- A proactive attitude, curiosity to learn, and a willingness to take on new challenges.
- Some exposure to engineering, project delivery, construction, operations, risk management or a related environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a structured approach to work.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and data visualisation tools such as Power BI would be beneficial.
- An interest in developing expertise in technical risk methodologies, including HAZID, HAZOP and LOPA.
- Exposure to project risk assessments or risk management processes would be advantageous.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team while managing competing priorities.
- Familiarity with risk management principles or standards such as ISO 31000 would be viewed favourably.
