As part of our Shared Services group, comprised of Finance, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Commercial, Legal and Facilities, we support the business achieve their goals through a range of strong technical capabilities. We ensure delivery of services through the skills of our people, methodologies, and systems.

Hatch is seeking a Financial Accountant to support critical month-end activities and take ownership of the treasury function for the Australia-Asia (AUA) region. This role is well suited to either an accounting graduate seeking an entry-level opportunity with clear development pathways, or a candidate with experience in a similar accounting role. You will be a motivated self-starter who takes ownership of your work and is eager to become a valued member of the Finance team. Hatch operates on SAP, our global enterprise system supporting project, finance, and human resources operations, and prior SAP experience will be highly regarded. This position offers on-the-job training, mentorship, and career management support within a vibrant, collaborative, and supportive team environment, providing a strong foundation for long-term career growth at Hatch.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Journalling of prepayments, accruals, and fixed assets
  • Month-end and quarter-end expense analysis
  • Treasury accounting and cashflow forecasting
  • General ledger reconciliations
  • Preparation of month-end and year-end reporting schedules
  • Supporting audit requirements
  • Contributing to continuous process improvements
  • Ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis

Required Skills, Experience and Attributes

The successful candidate will hold a degree qualification in Accounting or a related discipline and demonstrate strong problem-solving capability with a proactive, continuous improvement mindset. Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems will be highly regarded. You will bring a strong sense of ownership and accountability, work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team, and show a genuine willingness to learn and develop. Well-developed verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential, enabling you to confidently engage with stakeholders and contribute positively to the broader Finance team.
