With a strong portfolio of existing projects, recent significant wins, and a healthy pipeline of transport infrastructure work ahead, our Brisbane‑based Civil team is continuing to grow. We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Designer on a fixed term basis for 18 months to play a key role in the delivery of high‑quality civil design outcomes across a range of complex projects.This role suits a technically strong designer who enjoys leading by example, mentoring others, and working closely with engineers to deliver safe, efficient and constructible solutions aligned to client and industry expectations.

As a Senior Civil Designer, you will provide technical leadership within multi‑disciplinary project teams, taking ownership of civil design outputs and supporting the development of junior designers. You will work closely with engineers and the Lead Civil Designer to drive design quality from concept through to detailed design and construction support, while maintaining strong safety, quality and program outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver high‑quality civil design outputs using 12d Model
  • Provide technical guidance, review and mentoring to junior designers
  • Work collaboratively within multi‑disciplinary project teams
  • Liaise closely with engineers, the Lead Civil Designer and project stakeholders
  • Develop and review detailed design and construction deliverables, including, 3D earthworks models, 2D drawings, Material take‑offs
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, specifications and authority requirements
  • Apply and uphold quality assurance processes to support safe and reliable project delivery
  • Contribute to design optimisation, continuous improvement and efficient project outcomes

About You

You are an experienced Senior Civil Designer who demonstrates a strong commitment to safety, quality and collaboration. You bring integrity, professionalism and a customer‑focused mindset, and are comfortable providing technical leadership within a small, close‑knit team. You communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and take pride in mentoring others while continuing to develop your own technical capability and career. You will bring 7+ years’ experience in a civil design role, with strong proficiency in 12d Model and AutoCAD. An Associate Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) is required, along with strong communication skills and solid general computer literacy. Knowledge of road authority standards is essential, with TMR experience highly regarded. Experience with OpenRoads or Civil 3D is desirable but not essential.
