We’re hipages, Australia’s #1 digital platform connecting homeowners with trusted tradies. As an ASX-listed tech company, we're on a mission to transform the trade industry and improve lives.

With teams across Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines and Vietnam, we work as one team with a shared purpose.

We’re proud to be a certified Great Place to Work and WORK180’s #1 Employer for Women. At hipages, you’ll find real impact, career growth and a workplace where everyone belongs.

About the role:

hipages is transforming into an AI-driven operating model in which every product team works through an agentic process for discovery and delivery. As Senior Product Manager, you'll own the platform layer that makes that possible. The AI infrastructure (harness, evaluation, institutional knowledge), the App Platform roadmap that completes our marketplace lifecycle and removes legacy constraints, and the front-end enablement for our customer experiences run across web and mobile.

Why join our Product team?

  • Hybrid working model
  • In-house Talent Development team to prioritise personal and career growth
  • Competitive salary, benefits and perks, plus equity via our Employee Share Program
  • Cross-functional collaboration
  • Hands-on learning opportunities and workshops for continuous upskilling

How you will add value:

AI & App Platform

  • Own the strategy and roadmap for hipages' AI infrastructure layer: agent harness, context architecture, evaluation tooling, prompt and pattern libraries, and institutional knowledge systems.
  • Define the patterns and guardrails that other product teams plug into. Memory, context, prompt structure, evaluation, quality.
  • Hold the quality bar for AI work across product. Build evaluation into the workflow, not bolted on. Interrogate outputs, your own and the team's.
  • Prove the platform on the FY27 re-platform work, harden it on real delivery as you build it out
  • Translate the re-platform work into AI engineering leverage. Modular, clean architecture is what unlocks agent-driven automation; coordinate that translation with engineering.

Front-End Core

  • Standardised App Behaviour: Unify app logic across the Homeowner and Business apps so there is one correct way to handle core interactions (navigation, loading, data fetching, notifications, deep linking).
  • Simplified Platform (CMS): Consolidate to a single CMS with the unified design system.
  • Quality & Governance: Embed automated quality gates across CI/CD. Drive adoption of E2E testing by cross-functional teams to deliver better code quality, less firefighting, faster more reliable releases.
  • Performance & Business Insight: Link performance metrics to business KPIs. Performance budgets, observability, app health and reliability metrics tied to the outcomes they actually move.
  • AI-Ready Frontend: Build machine-readable UI for AI agents and the Toolbox AI Native Design System
  • Toolbox MCP server structured markdown for AI tooling consumption; governance at speed, linting rules at build, adoption metrics, drift detection, sampling-based review of agent output.

About you:

  • 5+ years in Product Management, including in cross-functional teams shipping production software in SaaS, marketplaces, or B2C digital environments.
  • Strong commercial and technical acumen.
  • Critical thinking under ambiguity.
  • Track record in AI across areas such as:
    • User Interactions: agent tooling, prompt and evaluation systems, data source connections
    • Quality: eval approaches and drift control, demonstrated in a real production environment, not personal tinkering.

Life at hipages:

We’re more than just a workplace. We’re a place where you can be yourself, do great work and grow your career. Recognised as a Great Place to Work, our inclusive, supportive culture helps people thrive.

You’ll use the best tools and tech, with real impact on our products and customers. We invest in your development and lead with coaching, not micromanagement – it’s why 85% of our team say their leader is great.

And there’s more:

  • Diverse, collaborative teams that love solving problems
  • Agile squads, hackathons, off-sites and roadshows
  • Extra leave for birthdays, volunteering, and more
  • Healthy snacks, continental breakfast and fresh fruit
  • Sydney CBD office near Town Hall and Gadigal Stations
  • Tailored growth support, mentoring and stretch projects
  • A vibrant social scene - we work hard and have fun doing it

We prioritise Diversity:

At hipages, innovation and collaboration thrive in diverse and inclusive teams. We don’t expect you to know everything - we care more about who you are as a person, a team member, and a leader.

We’re proud to be endorsed by WORK180 for supporting women’s careers and we value diversity across culture, age, gender identity and sexual orientation.

Research shows that men often apply when they meet just 60% of the criteria, while women and minority groups wait until they tick every box. If you think you’d be a great fit - even if you don’t meet every requirement- we’d love to hear from you.

We’re also a Circle Back Initiative Employer, which means we commit to responding to every applicant.
