Hi! We’re hipages, an ASX-listed tech company and Australia’s #1 digital platform connecting households with trusted home improvement businesses. We're on a mission to transform the home improvement industry to build better lives for everyone.

With teams across Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines and Vietnam, we work as one team with a shared purpose. We’re proud to be a certified Great Place to Work and WORK180’s #1 Employer for Women. At hipages, you’ll find real impact, career growth and a workplace where everyone belongs.

About the role:

This is a 12-month parental leave contract. As a Senior Data Analyst, you’ll help the organisation make better decisions with data. You’ll work closely with the data team and your insights will feed directly into hipages’ commercial strategy.

You’ll help shape the hipages marketplace as it evolves, using your experience to improve things for our customers. You’ll also join a supportive, highly skilled data team whose skills cover everything from engineering to machine learning, where people share what they know and celebrate each other’s wins.

You’ll work with colleagues across the business on reporting, insights and analytics for a range of projects, from channel performance to segmentation.

Why join our Data team?

  • 💻 Hybrid working with 2 days WFH, so you can fit work around the rest of your life
  • 🪴 An in-house Talent Development team focused on your personal and career growth
  • 💰 Competitive salary, benefits and perks
  • 🤝 A collaborative culture working with Product, Engineering, Marketing and Commercial teams
  • 🧑‍🏫 Hands-on learning, workshops and mentoring to keep growing your skills
  • ♀️ Women make up 50% of our Data team, so you’ll be joining a balanced team where your voice is heard

How you’ll add value:

  • Build a framework for sharing insights with the business and recommending product improvements
  • Analyse data, trends and results, and explain their business impact to stakeholders
  • Explore the acquisition funnel to find insights and opportunities that grow jobs and tradie numbers
  • Give teams the data they need to shape use cases and requirements
  • Help grow our user base by supporting segmentation strategies for a more personalised customer experience
  • Design, run and measure feature experiments

About you:

  • Data analytics experience in an e-commerce or technology company
  • Experience working with enterprise data warehouses
  • A love of data, and the ability to make sense of complex information and tell a clear story with it
  • You can turn findings into business recommendations that people act on
  • Strong communication skills, and you build trusted relationships with stakeholders
  • Advanced SQL (or equivalent)
  • Strong working knowledge of BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Looker)

Nice to haves:

  • Experience in a marketplace or digital-native organisation
  • Google Analytics and A/B testing for SaaS products
  • Forecasting and statistical modelling
  • Understanding of ETL frameworks and tools
  • dbt or data modelling experience
  • Intermediate Python
  • Databricks or Snowflake
  • Salesforce
  • A tertiary degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Actuarial Studies or a related field

Don’t tick every box? Research shows women often hold back from applying unless they meet every requirement. If this role excites you and you meet most of the criteria, we’d love to hear from you. We’re happy to talk about flexible arrangements and any adjustments you need during the recruitment process.

Life at hipages:

We’re more than just a workplace. We’re a place where you can be yourself, do great work and grow your career. Recognised as a Great Place to Work, our inclusive, supportive culture helps people thrive.

You’ll use the best tools and tech, with real impact on our products and customers. We invest in your development and lead with coaching, not micromanagement – it’s why 85% of our team say their leader is great. And there’s more:

  • Diverse, collaborative teams that love solving problems
  • Agile squads, hackathons, off-sites and roadshows
  • Extra leave for birthdays, volunteering, and more
  • Healthy snacks, continental breakfast and fresh fruit
  • Sydney CBD office near Town Hall and Gadigal Stations
  • Tailored growth support, mentoring and stretch projects
  • A vibrant social scene - we work hard and have fun doing it

We prioritise Diversity:

At hipages, innovation and collaboration thrive in diverse and inclusive teams. We don’t expect you to know everything - we care more about who you are as a person, a team member, and a leader. We’re proud to be endorsed by WORK180 for supporting women’s careers and we value diversity across culture, age, gender identity and sexual orientation. Research shows that men often apply when they meet just 60% of the criteria, while women and minority groups wait until they tick every box. If you think you’d be a great fit - even if you don’t meet every requirement - we’d love to hear from you.

We’re also a Circle Back Initiative Employer, which means we commit to responding to every applicant.
