Job Summary:
We’re now seeking an experienced Security Architect to help shape the future of cyber security at HUB24 and play a key role in safeguarding critical financial systems that support advisers, investors, and partners nationwide.As a Security Architect, you'll help embed security into the design of our systems and platforms—ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability across our technology landscape. You’ll partner closely with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure every solution is secure by design and aligned with business goals.
You’ll be involved in threat modelling, risk assessments, architecture reviews, and evaluating modern security technologies. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both shaping strategic direction and rolling up their sleeves to help drive operational improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain security architecture standards, patterns, and technical guidelines
- Conduct threat modelling, architectural security reviews, and risk assessments
- Provide security input into major technology initiatives and enterprise design decisions
- Evaluate security tools and emerging technologies to support future capability uplift
- Contribute to the Cyber Security Roadmap and broader architectural governance
- Support assessments such as gap analyses, security testing, and Threat & Risk Assessments
- Collaborate across engineering, architecture, operations, and business teams
- Maintain security documentation, diagrams, guidelines, and knowledge bases
- Monitor industry trends and threat intelligence to guide risk‑based decision making
- Provide timely reporting and support to the Strategic Cyber Security Manager
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of security architecture principles, network security, identity, and cloud security across AWS, GCP, and Azure
- Experience with security technologies such as IAM (Entra ID, AD, Okta, Auth0), MFA, EDR/MDR, SASE, CSPM, vulnerability management, application control, data security/DLP, Code Signing and PKI
- Understanding of Zero Trust principles and modern cloud architectures
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and secure solution design
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Proven experience improving security processes, standards, or operational capabilities
- Experience in capital markets or wealth management technology is highly desirable
- Certifications such as CISSP or SABSA are highly regarded
