Medium density housing is a key growth area for Intrax. This role strengthens our capability, lifts technical standards, and helps shape how we deliver high‑quality residential and low‑rise building projects. You’ll contribute directly to client outcomes, team development and the continued evolution of our building engineering practice.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver high‑quality, innovative structural designs and documentation for medium to large complexity projects, including architecturally designed homes, townhouse and unit developments, community centres and gymnasiums.
- Assist with client and stakeholder management across multiple disciplines, supporting strong working relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support account management activities, contributing to client satisfaction and repeat work.
- Assist in mentoring and developing graduate and junior engineers in line with Intrax practices and standards.
- Promote a strong client‑focused culture within the team, with an emphasis on responsiveness, professionalism and on‑time delivery.
- Gain exposure to more complex work, including multi‑level buildings and light commercial projects, as your capability grows.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution.
- 1–3 years post‑graduate structural design experience in the residential or building sector.
- Experience designing residential and low‑rise building structures.
- Working knowledge of timber, reinforced concrete and steel structures, including waffle, raft and suspended slabs, retaining walls and related systems.
- Proficiency with tools such as ClearCalcs, Space Gass and Toolkit (Inducta and RAPT desirable).
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards and the NCC, including AS2870, AS1684, AS1170, AS3600 and AS4100.
- Ability to build rapport with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
