Fire protection engineering directly affects the safety, compliance and performance of every building we help create.
As a Senior Fire Protection Engineer at Intrax, you’ll take a leading role in designing practical, coordinated fire protection solutions across a diverse project portfolio. You’ll work with clients, authorities and multi-disciplinary project teams to move projects from concept and design through construction, commissioning and handover.
This role offers the technical breadth to work across wet and dry fire protection systems, with the autonomy to lead projects, influence design decisions and help strengthen our fire protection capability in NSW.
What you'll do
- Lead fire protection projects from concept through construction, commissioning and handover
- Design wet and dry fire systems, including sprinklers, hydrants, detection, alarms and suppression systems
- Prepare hydraulic calculations, technical reports, specifications and coordinated design documentation
- Develop practical solutions that meet the NCC and relevant Australian Standards
- Manage project scope, programme, risk and technical delivery
- Work directly with clients, authorities, contractors and multi-disciplinary project teams
- Review designs for technical accuracy, coordination and constructability
- Share technical knowledge and support the development of engineers and designers
- Senior experience in fire protection engineering or fire services design
- Strong capability across wet and dry fire systems
- Experience leading projects from concept through construction and handover
- Sound knowledge of the NCC and relevant Australian Standards, including AS 2118, AS 2419 and AS 1670
- Experience working in building services consulting or a strong design and construct background
- Confidence working directly with clients, authorities and multi-disciplinary teams
- Revit and AutoCAD capability
- Relevant FPAS accreditation and NSW practitioner registration, or a clear pathway towards registration
