The Intrax Housing Division has built its success by inspiring volume builders to confidently build more innovative and affordable homes for Australian families and we have the unique opportunity to join our talented and growing team as an Energy Consultant, to deliver comprehensive Energy Efficiency assessments for residential building designs to our national clients.
Your role will include, but will not be limited to:
- Conducting detailed Energy Efficiency assessments, thermal modelling, and compliance checks for a wide range of residential building designs nationally.
- Identify energy-efficient solutions for our clients’ projects.
- Keeping up to date with Australian building codes and Energy Efficiency regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Analyse building plans and specifications to identify energy efficiency opportunities and recommend improvements.
- Prepare and deliver detailed reports on energy performance, including recommendations for upgrades or modifications.
- Liaise with internal Departments and Account Managers to ensure projects are delivered in conjunction with other services.
- Train and develop the skills of Junior Assessors.
You will need to have:
- Certificate IV in NatHERS assessment (preferable).
- Ability to complete NatHERS assessments in FR5 and Basix
- Proven experience in energy assessment and rating for residential buildings.
- Strong understanding of Australian building codes, energy efficiency standards, and sustainability practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable recommendations.
- Strong communication skills
