The Opportunity

Reporting to the Warehouse & Distribution Supervisor, the Team Leader role will be supporting day-to-day operations by coordinating activities, guiding team members, and ensuring the safe, accurate movement of goods while fostering a high-performing team environment.

We have two (2) Team Leader opportunities available: one on a morning shift (5.00am–1.30pm) and one on an afternoon shift (12:30pm–9:00pm).

What you’ll do
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with all H&S and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
  • Coordinate daily warehouse operations, including start-up, resource planning, and execution of work plans.
  • Support problem solving by removing roadblocks to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through stock management (including cycle counts, stocktakes), inspections, and system updates, ensuring safe handling and correct documentation.
  • Oversee load checking and audits to ensure order accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and manage reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs and effective use of warehouse systems (SAP/WMS).
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and operational performance.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal customers and onsite teams.
  • Liaise with Finishing, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to coordinate operations and support process improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, loaders, and warehouse operators to maintain smooth operational flow.
  • Support onboarding, training, and day-to-day coaching to drive team capability and performance.
  • Foster a positive team culture and assist with performance, conduct, and attendance management.
What you’ll bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Supply Chain or related field (considered favourably).
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a Team Leader role within warehousing, distribution, or a similar operational environment, along with a valid forklift licence.
  • Intermediate computer skills, with experience using warehouse management systems (WMS); SAP experience is preferred.
  • Good understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead within a team environment, fostering collaboration, accountability, and strong team culture.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and build trust with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and safety standards.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance, with the ability to reinforce safe behaviors and support Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) obligations through team leadership.
