The Opportunity
We’re looking for a driven Territory Manager to manage a portfolio of customers and builders across the Hunter Valley and Central Coast region.
Reporting to the Field Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for growing James Hardie’s High Value Products within the Single‑Family New Construction and Renovation segments. You’ll execute sales and marketing strategies to strengthen our competitive position and deliver sustainable, profitable growth.
What you’ll do
- Develop and execute strategic joint account plans with stores, distributors, and key stakeholders
- Engage directly with small‑to‑medium builders to generate demand and influence specification
- Present James Hardie’s high‑value product propositions and improve conversion versus alternative materials
- Build strong demand pipelines and feed qualified opportunities through retail and distribution channels
- Implement in‑store and out‑of‑store marketing activations to amplify brand visibility
- Deliver training and support to improve selling capability and sales effectiveness
- Monitor performance, deliver proposals and product demonstrations, and consistently achieve territory sales targets
- Minimum 5 years’ sales experience with a strong track record in business development
- Building industry experience strongly preferred
- Ability to manage multiple customers through a sales funnel to conversion
- Experience presenting to groups of builders and delivering training programs
- Strong communication skills with the ability to operate strategically and tactically
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce or CRM experience desirable
- Stable growth at a global building products manufacturer
