The Opportunity

We’re looking for a highly skilled Business Development Manager – Install and Construction to lead technical account management for major install customers within Queensland.

Reporting to the Segment Manager - Install AU, you’ll act as the technical sales interface for render substrate and fibre cement systems, accelerating installer conversion and embedding James Hardie’s solutions into market pathways.

What you’ll do
  • Manage supply and install contractor portfolios, driving revenue, training, safety, and quality uplift
  • Lead installer-based execution by converting accounts to James Hardie systems and negotiating commercial terms
  • Champion unified fibre cement and render substrate system execution across design, install, and technical support
  • Act as a knowledge expert for render substrate category and collaborate internally to build capability
  • Provide market-driven insights to influence innovation and product development
  • Deliver install training programs and upskill internal teams on construction expertise
  • Support partnerships with complementary product manufacturers to deliver total exterior solutions
What you’ll bring
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical sales, construction systems, or construction management
  • Proven track record managing sales pipelines, revenue targets, and account plans
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, exterior walling systems, and installation practices
  • Ability to interpret complex construction details and translate into commercial value
  • Excellent networking, influencing, and problem-solving skills
  • Certificate IV in Building & Construction highly regarded
  • Experience engaging installers, estimators, and site teams to drive adoption of construction systems
