Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and customers, you will play a critical role in ensuring systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and operational requirements. You may also provide technical support during the Defects Liability Period (DLP) to ensure successful project completion and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, configure, and maintain security systems, including Access Control, CCTV, and associated technologies.

  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, providing expert troubleshooting and guidance when required.

  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and key stakeholders to deliver projects on time and to specification.

  • Support project planning, scheduling, and execution activities.

  • Maintain a high level of technical expertise through ongoing professional development and continuous learning.

  • Provide technical support and recommendations to Engineering and Sales teams.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, quality standards, and operational efficiencies.

  • Mentor, coach, and provide technical guidance to junior technicians and apprentices.

  • Identify, report, and mitigate workplace hazards

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • 2-6 years' experience working as a Security Technician or in a similar technical security systems role.

  • A trade qualification in Security Systems or a related field.

  • The ability to obtain or hold a current NSW Security Provider Licence.

  • Proven experience commissioning, configuring, and troubleshooting integrated security solutions.

  • Strong knowledge of IT networks, server configuration, and system integration principles.

  • Experience designing and implementing small to medium-scale security systems.

  • The ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and documentation, and prepare technical reports.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • A customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving capabilities.

  • Flexibility to travel as required.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must have full working rights in Australia.

Successful candidates will be required to complete pre-employment screening, including:

  • Medical assessment

  • Criminal history check

  • Reference checks

  • Drug and alcohol testing
