This role is in the Client Change team. This team delivers new and enhanced products to existing Corporate Investment Bank (CIB) clients. This includes services offered by teams including Managed Funds, Fund Accounting, Unit Trust Pricing, Financial Reporting, Investment Analytics and Taxation Services.

Delivery is across multiple teams including Operations, Technology, Product and Client Service.

The team provides proactive solutions to evolving client needs through an understanding of the client’s objectives and business models. The objective of the team is to provide a high level of client service, reducing the lead time to execute requested changes and improving the communication and transparency of projects in progress.

Business Analyst will work within the client change team supporting the Securities Services Australia and New Zealand business. The objective of the team is to provide high level solution to client change through the appropriate Product solution that addresses the business and the client needs.

Job responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the Product Development team to define business and customer requirements
  • Preparing clear requirements documentation. Functional and workflow specifications
  • Lead the mapping of as-is and to be models to identify assumptions, risks, dependencies and constraints by working with various business and technology stakeholders
  • Ability to have an end to end understanding of the business operating model and workflow and ensure the solution is aligned with the client and business requirements to achieve the desired outcome
  • Work with Operations and technology teams to plan and execute testing
  • Review and refine processes, guidelines and procedures in line with the organization objectives
  • Manage operational readiness and release activities including execution of the implementation plan, coordination of implementation activities including user access, training manuals, delivery of training, control updates and sign offs from Operations, Business Integration and Risk teams

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Business analysis experience ideally within financial services including ability to document workflows, features and requirements
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Powerpoint (advanced), Visio (advanced), Excel (advanced)
  • Ability to perform data analysis by using SQL, Tableau and data visualization
  • Experienced with Projects, with business operating model and accounting platforms through various JP Morgan departments/products
  • A proven track record of establishing strong relationship with internal and external stakeholders and managing all stakeholders to achieve the desired solution outcome
  • Experience working with JIRA , Confluence, and other project facilitation tools is preferred
  • Clear understanding of a fund manager middle-office and back-office business is preferred
