Join the team

We have an amazing opportunity for a creative and innovative Store Planner to join our team. Working across both Kmart and Target, the Store Planner is responsible for preparing architectural drawings for new stores, refurbishments, and special projects. Reporting to the Planning Team Leader, you will be joining a supportive group of people who love what they do!

What you’ll be doing

As a Store Planner working for Kmart Group you will:

  • Prepare accurate, consistent, and high-quality architectural drawings for all new stores, refurbishments, office layout projects and business initiative projects

  • Ensure all plans meet approved business standards and requirements

  • Ensure safety in design, constructability and equipment quantities are provided in every project

  • Engage key stakeholder groups to achieve successful project delivery

  • Deliver to agreed planning timelines

  • Partner with external consultants such as architects, engineers, planning consultants, building surveyors and contractors

  • Partner with landlords and their respective teams for new stores and existing store alterations

  • Participate in site visits and sign off meetings

  • Conduct and prepare scope requirements where required

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • Diploma in Drafting or Bachelor’s Degree in architecture

  • Similar experience in high-paced role within architectural design and construction industry managing external consultants

  • Relevant experience in retail design / store planning with demonstrated knowledge of building code requirements

  • Proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD. Sketch up experience highly regarded.
