The purpose of the Merchandise Analytics team is to help shape and deliver on the merchandise strategy that results in business efficiencies and growth in sales and profit. We are leveraging generative AI, NLP, Operations Research and advanced forecasting techniques to digitise the design to shelf process.
We are currently on the look out for an Analytics Lead to join our Merchandise Analytics team.
The Analytics Lead will engage with relevant business and delivery teams, understand the business problems to solve, identify where Analytics driven services can be provided to achieve better outcomes and define the appropriate solution. They will work closely with Merchants, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, UX Engineers and BI professionals to develop and embed advanced analytics products.
Key Responsibilities

Business Engagement

Build a deep understanding of merchandise and planning

Conduct exploratory data analysis to undertake diagnostics of the problems to solve

Drive the agreed upon business outcomes through successful deployment

Analytics Translation
-
Work with merchants, data science, engineering and IT delivery teams to design analytical and technical solution, including MVP and experiments to validate the solution and iterate quickly, ensuring that the business goals and performance metrics are clear and measured along the way.

Working with our Data Scientists to build a deep, data-driven understanding of Data & Analytics services, develop insight, and drive definition and prioritisation of the next service features

Ensuring the delivery of high-quality service, and manage improvement pipeline of Data & Analytics services

Owning the performance of your analytics services by defining success criteria with merchants, monitoring and reporting on key performance metrics, driving continuous improvement and overall being obsessive about the quality and impact of your services.

Communication

Prepare and lead effective presentations to senior business stakeholders

Ensure effective communication (progress updates, risks etc.) on projects to all relevant stakeholders

Influencing at all levels of organisation; help stakeholders understand insights & the story it tells to drive better decision making
About You
-
8+ years’ experience in Management Consulting, Internal Consulting, Process Improvement, Product Management or a Business Analyst role

Hands-on experience in working with data to scope analytics work-slate and generate actionable insights

Intermediate to expert user of MS Office suite and SQL
-
Track record of implementing projects and products and measuring success through lead indicators like users/usage and lag indicators like sales / EBIT
