We have some exciting opportunities available for driven and collaborative Buying Assistants within our Apparel teams! This is a great chance to take your passion for Retail (and Apparel) to a whole new level as well as advancing your career in Buying. These roles also provide an opportunity to progress into our fantastic Merchandise Development Programme (MDP).

Apparel at Kmart is a growing, dynamic & fun division with a huge variety of product! Our teams are doing great things & taking Apparel to a whole new level! To assist us in getting there, we need incredible Buying Assistants to support us on this journey.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Buyers Assistant working for Kmart, you will support our Buyers in sourcing the best possible products that bring meaningful moments into our customers lives. Some of the key responsibilities are:

• Supporting the department by ensuring all data entry information is accurate, up to date & maintained
• Managing the product registration process after sign off - from keycode creation
• Liaising with and supporting a local supply base
• Provide market insights by assessing the competitive set on a regular basis and feedback to the team.
• Managing all marketing and coordination of samples for all advertising, including online
• Attend Supplier Sourcing meetings with the buyer and assist in range strategy planning
• First point of contact for department queries

To be successful in this role:

We're looking for a driven, efficient and enthusiastic individuals who will bring a curious mind-set and a passion for all things Apparel (and Retail)! You love delivering product, customers are always front of mind and building and managing relationships with a variety of key stakeholders is one of your strengths. We'd also love you to have:

• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage and interpret data
• Effective numerical, critical thinking and analytical skills
