We are actively looking to hire an experienced Financial Accountant who has had exposure to International Supply Chain accounting, on a 12 month fixed term contract based in Kmart’s National Office in Mulgrave.

What you’ll be doing
As a Financial Accountant working for Kmart, you will:
- Ensure that international supply chain costs are prepared and posted in accordance with applicable accounting standards and are audit compliant.
- Assist with data and information requirements for monthly reporting, including ongoing monitoring of critical costs such as CPV, International Payments and Royalties.
- Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of the bank-balance and international payments
- Ensure all reports and data required are prepared and delivered as agreed with external audit and other parties as required
- Ensure all accounting policies, procedures and relevant legislative requirements are adhered to
- Identify risks and opportunities for the business
- Participate in project work as and when required
To be successful in this role you’ll have:
- A professional accounting qualification either CA or CPA.
- 1-2 years’ experience in a mid-large scale corporate business with a good understanding of accounting principles and GST issues.
- Proficiency in the use of Financial Systems (i.e. SAP), including accounting and general ledger experience.
- Strong MS Office skills, including advanced knowledge of using Excel
- Ability to drive improvements, meet deadlines and have high attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
- A natural flair for problem solving and have an analytical mindset
