The role
Moranbah is nestled in the northern part of Isaac Regional Shire, approximately 200 kms south-west of Mackay, mostly consisting of mining industry. Moranbah is a quiet, warm, family friendly community, with all essential shopping and facilities to meet a diverse culture.
The Dyno Nobel Moranbah Plant is a fully-integrated Ammonium Nitrate complex based in Central Queensland. The facility comprises ammonia, nitric acid and ammonium nitrate plants plus infrastructure, utilities, power generation and housing to support the permanent workforce.
About you
Reporting to the Superintendent for Warehousing Operations this role will see you lead the warehousing team where you can showcase your strong personnel management and process improvement skills. The Warehouse Supervisor drives operational discipline, ensures on-going training and development of the Warehouse staff and manages the rosters and staffing numbers. This is a challenging and varied role and will see you focused on maintaining a safe operating environment as well as:
- Demonstrate and instil an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development
- Demonstrate commitment to the IPL Values and Code of Business Conduct
- Support the direction of operational warehousing strategies and processes to meet site requirements
- Provide input to improvement initiatives.
- Support warehousing processes, including inward goods receipt, storage, order collation and outward delivery to meet site requirements.
With solid experience using Microsoft Excel and Outlook, exposure or direct experience with SAP is highly sought after. While this is a leadership role, those with a high risk forklift qualification will be looked upon favourably, while a tertiary qualification for either a Certificate III or IV in Warehousing is advantageous.
