Discover life-giving possibilities

Lifeblood is more than just a job or a career, it’s an opportunity to be part of something that matters. As an organisation, our purpose is simple: life giving donations, for life changing outcomes. Together, we want to help you build a fulfilling career with Lifeblood.

About the role

This is an opportunity to help shape the Future of Learning at Lifeblood. As a Learning Lead, you’ll lead a regional learning team that plays a critical role in building the clinical capability, confidence and readiness of our Donor Experience workforce.

With the autonomy to set direction for your region, you’ll develop your people, shape how learning is delivered and drive meaningful capability outcomes across donor centres and the operational teams you support.

You’ll develop and lead a regional clinical capability strategy, translating workforce needs and operational priorities into practical plans for learning, coaching and competency development. From onboarding and operational capability to workplace coaching and clinical competency, you’ll ensure our people have the skills and confidence to deliver safe, high-quality experiences for our donors.

Working closely with operational leaders, you’ll understand priorities, identify capability gaps and turn them into practical solutions. You’ll be a confident partner who can constructively challenge thinking, ask the right questions and find practical ways forward.

This is a hands-on people leadership role during a period of change. You’ll provide clarity, support and accountability as your team builds capability, transitions through change and creates a connected, high-performing culture across states.

You’ll also bring a continuous improvement mindset, using learning data, clinical competency outcomes and operational insights to understand what’s working, identify opportunities and continuously improve how we build capability.

We have multiple DX Learning Lead opportunities available, each supporting a different geographical region. Roles can be based in Melbourne, Brisbane or Sydney.

Sound interesting? Here’s what we’re looking for:

You’re an experienced people leader who knows how to bring out the best in others, build trusted relationships and create an environment where people can grow and perform at their best. You can step into a complex portfolio, quickly establish priorities and lead a team through change with confidence and care.

You’ll also bring:

  • Demonstrated experience leading learning teams, including coaching, performance management and team development
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams across multiple locations or regions
  • Experience developing and delivering a capability strategy that responds to operational and workforce needs
  • A strong understanding of workplace learning and adult learning principles
  • Experience partnering with operational leaders to identify capability priorities and improve clinical competency
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, communicate and build trusted relationships
  • Experience providing clear direction and maintaining team engagement and performance through change
  • Experience using learning data and operational insights to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement
  • Sound judgement, creative problem-solving and the ability to prioritise and deliver across competing demands
  • Experience leading continuous improvement in an operational or clinical environment
  • Experience within healthcare, donor services, clinical education or another regulated environment would be highly regarded

Is Lifeblood your reason? Apply now and discover a career filled with life-changing possibilities.
