About the role:
We are currently seeking a Red Cell Reference Technician to undertake standardised tasks in the Red Cell Reference laboratory which include, (but not limited to) the following;
- logging donor and patient samples into our electronic LIMS (Laboratory Information and Management Systems) SoftMol,
- maintaining laboratory equipment
- maintaining stock levels of laboratory consumables and reagents
- manufacture of laboratory solutions
- administrative tasks
You will continually look for ways to optimise work processes, actively learning and adapting your approach to achieve great outcomes. You will act with a sense of urgency, high energy and enthusiasm and be able to relate openly and comfortably with everyone. You will value interpersonal savvy and self-awareness and reflect on your own strengths and areas for development, making you a valued contributor.

- Relevant diploma in a biomedical discipline (or equivalent) - desirable
- Previous experience working in a lab - desirable
- Customer focused with the ability to identify improvement initiatives
- Outstanding team player who supports the achievement of shared goals
- Self-motivated with excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with a collaborative working style
This is a permanent part time opportunity working 19 hours per week.
