Discover life-giving possibilities

Lifeblood is more than just a job or a career, it’s an opportunity to be part of something that matters. As an organisation, our purpose is simple: to give life. Together, we want to help you build a fulfilling career with Lifeblood.

About the role

We’re seeking an experienced, technically strong leader to oversee the maintenance, performance and resilience of Lifeblood’s national facilities portfolio (100+ sites). Owning the facilities maintenance strategy, you’ll combine strong people leadership with deep technical expertise to ensure our sites are safe, compliant, efficient and fit for purpose. You’ll provide technical oversight across critical building services (including HVAC, electrical systems, UPS and backup power, fire, hydraulics and security) while driving asset lifecycle planning, capital forecasting and data‑led decision‑making. Using your commercial and operational experience, you’ll also identify opportunities for cost savings, energy efficiency and system optimisation.

Sound interesting? Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Proven people leader with the ability to coach, develop and lead high‑performing technical teams
  • 10+ years’ experience in Facilities Management, ideally across large, complex or multi‑site environments
  • Strong technical capability gained through hands‑on experience and/or tertiary qualifications (eg: engineering background)
  • Demonstrated expertise across HVAC and core building services, including electrical systems, UPS and backup power, fire and critical infrastructure
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence, build trust and collaborate across internal and external parties
  • Experience using FM technology, building monitoring/control systems or FMMS/CMMS, with a data‑driven approach to asset performance and efficiency is highly desirable
  • Experience operating in regulated environments (e.g. healthcare, laboratories or GMP‑aligned facilities) is advantageous
  • Opportunity to lead with autonomy across a national facilities portfolio, influencing long‑term asset strategy.

Wellbeing & Benefits

We place our employee's well-being at the forefront and express gratitude and care for one another. As an Australian Workplace Equality Index recognised employer and one of Australia’s menopause-friendly organisations, we celebrate diversity and support all our people.

In addition to being a part of an organisation that is the heartbeat of the Nation, you will have access to the following:

  • Ability to purchase additional annual leave
  • Access to salary packaging with an option to package up to $15,900 for living expenses and $2,650 for meals and entertainment
  • 14 weeks paid parental leave - no waiting period for either parent
  • Our dedicated employee assistance program - Sonder that you can access 24/7 from an app on your phone
  • Plus, many more!
