We have an exciting opportunity to join our new-look Shopper & Activation team as Shopper Marketing Manager reporting to our Shopper & Activation Director. The team is undergoing significant change as we reshape our Shopper & Activation vision. Our collective purpose is to develop & deliver brilliant initiatives that convert our shoppers, whilst establishing strong partnerships with our customers.
This role will be at the heart of this change that will truly make a difference for the future. This is role is available on a permanent basis and is based out of our York Street Office with hybrid flexible working arrangements available.
In this role you will bring to life brand and category plans in the Retail channel for our Mainstream beer & modern alcohol (including ‘ready to drink’ RTD) sub segment, in a manner that is on strategy whilst delivering the sales outcomes that are necessary to achieve overall budget expectations
A day in the life
- Partner with the Shopper Marketing Manager for Premium & Craft to develop the strategic retail channel shopper execution plan for Lion Brands.
- Manage a team of 4 direct reports, fostering a culture of trust and support, encouraging collaboration and sharing of best practice.
- Lead the creation of dynamic & impactful shopper marketing solutions that positively influence the shopping experience and behaviour on the full path to purchase in the retail channel
- Lead, plan and execute Lion’s shopper initiatives with customer, taking into account customer strategy and ambition, ensuring plans are relevant, drive footfall into store, increase category penetration and drive revenue
- Partner with our Shopper Strategy & Insights Manager to develop a deep understanding of Category, retail channel & customer shopper behaviours
- Contribute and lead the shopper execution conversation in key customer meetings, engaging and collaborating with your commercial sales representatives
- Own shopper processes and planning, ensuring these contribute to and integrate with the media connections model to drive efficiencies, a shopper voice, and maximise A&P investment
- Manage trade A&P for brands relevant to mainstream and modern Alc, whilst providing recommendation and support to the business on future investment recommendations
- Ensure effective management of third-party agency partners, challenging their creative thinking and execution solutions to encourage executional excellence and differentiation in market.
What you will need on day one
- Deep understanding of best-in-class Shopper Marketing practices along with sound knowledge of the Australian FMCG retail landscape, key channels and customers will set you up for success
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated thought leadership to be able to articulate an inspiring vision to your team in a clear and engaging manner
- Demonstrated stakeholder management, with the ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively with others (internally & externally) to meet shared objectives
- Strong capability in leading & developing people to drive performance
- Strong ability to connect insight, strategy & execution to deliver positive outcomes
