Islands Commercial Banking is a significant contributor to Lloyds Bank International and plays a very important role within the non-ring-fenced bank, Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets. We achieve this by offering a full range of commercial services to local trading businesses, Real Estate and Financial Intermediary clients.

Job Description
What you'll be doing...
Our Commercial Banking team in Guernsey are looking for a Senior Relationship Manager to join our Financial Institutions team, who will be a new business driver and will be expected to demonstrably grow the banks Guernsey portfolio of Financial Intermediary and Insurance clients.
You’ll also be responsible for effectively managing risk at all times across the portfolio. Furthermore, as senior Relationship Manager, you’ll build the Bank’s network across the trade and industry bodies, by attending industry events and having active engagement with them.
There is a strong expectation to grow the portfolio both through deepening existing client relationships and through winning larger clients (MM+) where historically Lloyds has a smaller market presence. Recent success in this space highlights a great opportunity for a driven, self-starter to really make a difference in the local market and raise the Bank’s profile in the business and professional community in pursuit of being Guernsey’s corporate bank of choice.
You’ll be an ambassador for change, an early adopter of tools designed to improve the client and colleague experience, whilst playing an active role in developing and upskilling colleagues and supporting your wider team and the Islands business to achieve their objectives.
You’ll do this by:
Developing prescribed solutions and generating new opportunities by maintaining relationships with customers to ensure their needs are met
Proactively seeking out new customers and opportunities to grow the portfolio
Managing strategically important client relationships including the coordination of deal teams and complex solutions where appropriate with different product partners and stakeholders (cardnet, capital markets, Credit etc.)
Managing relevant risk on the client portfolio
Developing own capabilities by pursuing and investing in personal development opportunities and develops the capabilities in the team
Proactively proposing change opportunities and takes ownership to see through to successful completion
Seeks to build stronger relationships between Islands and UK Commercial Banking teams for the benefit of the client and the business
Seeks to build stronger, mutually beneficial relationships within the Islands business across Customer Proposition, Finance, Marketing, Design Engineering and Change and Operations
Required Skills & Capabilities:
Proven experience working within Financial Services within a Relationship Manager capacity
Ability to generate and develop new business as well as maintain existing relationships
Experience of initiating change and following it through to end result
