LMS Energy is one of Australia’s largest and most experienced methane abatement and bioenergy companies, with over 40 years of industry leadership. 

We partner with landfill owners to capture biogas and convert it into renewable energy across more than 70 sites in Australia, New Zealand and the United States. 

Each year, our operations abate more than 5 million tonnes of carbon equivalent emissions. 

Building on this foundation, we are expanding into renewable fuels to support the transition to a circular, low-carbon future.

Flexibility that works for you 

We know the no two roles - or lives - look the same. That's why we offer a range of flexible working options designed to support our people in balancing work and life. Choose your hours, choose where you work and be there for the moments that matter. At LMS, 95% of our employees agree or strongly agree that their manager and supervisor are supportive of flexible work practices. We offer employees the following flexible benefits:

  • TIME FLEX - flexibility to choose start and finish times 
  • MICRO FLEX - flexibility to attend personal appointments
  • LEAVE FLEX - an option to purchase two weeks of annual leave
  • PLACE FLEX - an option to work from home two days a week or work from anywhere for up to two weeks 
  • WELLBEING FLEX - a wellbeing hour a week for exercise, mindfulness or an extended lunch break
  • HOURS FLEX - flexibility to reduce or increase full-time or part-time employment fractions
  • CARE(E)R FLEX - an opportunity to take unpaid leave for up to three months to take a career break or care for a loved one 
  • CULTURAL FLEX - an option to substitute one public holiday a year for another day of cultural or religious significance

All employees at LMS have access to a ‘Give Back Day’, an additional day’s paid leave to take part in corporate volunteering activities.


Build your skills where it counts

Development at LMS is practical and hands-on. You'll work on real projects, take on real responsibility and build expertise in an environment where learning happens every day. Our recruitment strategy is always to promote internally where possible. In July 2025 alone, LMS promoted 23 employees. LMS has also setup the following programs and frameworks to support performance development:

  • LMS Induction Program for all new starters 
  • Graduate and Apprentice Program for entry-level roles
  • Future Leaders Academy for Coordinator, Leading Hand and Supervisor roles
  • Management Academy for Managers
  • Continuous Performance Management framework – no end of year performance appraisals!
  • Training Weeks for on-site groups to assist in technical skill development
