MEDLOG is a global logistics and supply chain operator, specialising in container transport, intermodal logistics and warehouse storage and handling. We are seeking a casual Authorised Officer to support grain export operations at our Yamala site, near Emerald.

About the role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will inspect prescribed grain being packed in bulk into export containers and inspect empty containers within the scope of your departmental appointments. You will maintain accurate inspection records and work with the Yamala team to address any issues identified.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct export inspections of prescribed grain in bulk into containers under PGG3001:2

  • Inspect empty containers for export under ECI3001

  • Document inspection results accurately and report any non-conformances

  • Follow departmental procedures, biosecurity requirements and site safety processes

  • Coordinate inspection activity with the grain packing and container yard teams

  • Maintain current appointments and complete required records and reporting

About you

  • Current Authorised Officer appointments for PGG3001:2 – bulk into containers and ECI3001 – empty containers

  • Experience conducting and documenting relevant export inspections

  • Sound understanding of export inspection and biosecurity requirements

  • Strong attention to detail, judgement and communication skills

  • Ability to work with an operations team while making inspection decisions in line with your authorisations

  • Right to work in Australia

Why join MEDLOG?

  • Casual opportunity at our growing Yamala operation

  • Work across grain export and container activities

  • Supportive local team with a strong focus on safety

If you hold both appointments and are looking for a casual opportunity in the Emerald area, we would like to hear from you.

All successful applicants will be required to complete a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screen, and police clearance.
