The Risk Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the regional risk profile associated with the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) portfolio within the functional group. This role involves implementing risk management procedure, conducting project risk assessment, cost and schedule risk analysis, monitoring and reporting on programme risk performance. The Risk Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders, including DCD, DCE, GSC, Cost, IBP and contractors to ensure that risk is effectively managed throughout the project life cycle.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of risk management specifically in project risk management and will be comfortable in a blended corporate and construction team environment.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Proven experience in Risk Management, Project Risk Management, Construction, Engineering, Compliance, and or Operations
- OR Bachelor's Degree AND proven experience in Major Construction Program, Project Risk Management, Compliance, Engineering and /or Operations
- OR equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Engineering, Project Management, Construction, Security, or related field AND 5+ years experience in Risk Management in the context of Construction, Engineering, Operations, Business Analyst, Consulting, Compliance
- OR equivalent
- Membership with a relevant risk domain area association including: Project Management Institute (PMP, RMP); American Association Cost Engineers (PRMP, DRMP), RICS full membership (MRICS or FRICS) or equivalent, Institute of Risk Management (CMIRM, CFIRM, SIRM)

These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check every two years thereafter.

Responsibilities
Coordination
- Attends and advises during scheduled owner/architect/contractor and other project meetings.
- Lead risk planning for assigned engagements and develop appropriate risk treatment plans
- Contributes to fostering a knowledge sharing culture by actively participating in the risk knowledge networks and collaborative forums.
- Assists in the review of risk governance to ensure a particular risk area is receiving the appropriate amount of attention with minimal guidance. Identifies and escalates any concerns of related to risks being monitored.
Technical Acumen
- Review project schedule, cost and engineering documentation, site, and building plans by examining and analysing technical information. Identifies potential risks/gaps and recommendations to teammates and/or other internal partners.
Change Management
- Partners with the Internal CO+I, and other Microsoft key stakeholders (e.g., DCD, DCE, Cost/Estimating, IBP, Schedule, LDO etc.) and shares updated process flow information with project team to ensure new processes are being followed enhancing risk management culture, governance and improve overall cycle-time and efficiencies.
Risk Assessment
- Executes the process and methodology for the risk management lifecycle (e.g., data collection and data analytic methods) for regional projects.
- Gathers relevant internal and external information and/or reports (e.g., threat intelligence reports). Gathers and analyses information from client team representatives and facilitates project risk workshops, conducts interviews or focus groups with job incumbents to identify risks, determine the degree of risks within the work environment, identify any relevant data sources, and gather additional relevant context with guidance. Compiles information to understand the risk associated with the job, project, or process and root causes of the risks on routine projects.
- Scores risks and contributes to risk prioritization using appropriate risk profile scoring. Assists in the development of risk scorecard(s) by using weighted scores to identified risks leveraging risk management models and rating criteria with the guidance of others on routine projects.
- Maintain the engagement risk register to ensure all risks and their characteristics are appropriately and accurately documented; ensures risk response actions are being developed, executed, updated and completed as planned
- Periodically re-evaluate threats and opportunities for their continued relevance, true priority, anticipated effectiveness of the proposed risk treatment plans and validity of documented trigger event
