About the role:
The Business Management – Lead is accountable for ensuring Governance, Assurance, Consulting & Optimization, as well as Business Administration Services provided by the Business Management team, are performed, in addition to people management and leadership responsibilities for direct team members, as well as virtual teams which this role may be expected to lead.
You will be responsible for leading senior-level governance and assurance forums that focus on resolving complex business challenges, the review of governance and assurance solutions, in-flight projects, and systemic issue resolution.
For you to be highly successful, you are required to drive strategic and deep relationships with Sales, Presales, Professional Services & Consulting, Finance, Transformation and other Optus Enterprise teams.
You will also have leadership and management responsibilities, as they are expected to lead direct and virtual teams as required, which also entails improving capability, providing coaching and mentoring to team members and where required performance reviews and development plans.
Due to the requirement to hold an Australian Government Security clearance, the position holder must be an Australian Citizen.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships and interfaces within OB Sales, Pres sales, Client Delivery and Professional Services
- Assist Professional Services and other Cost Of Sales teams to understand the broader business impact and profitability of OB by ensuring consistent project initiation compliance, discipline and reporting to drive stronger Customer Satisfaction
- Navigate strategic account process anomalies to ensure a positive outcome for all stake holders (internal and external) managing the daily priority setting in what is a very fluid environment
- Management of conflicting priorities and constant requests to assist in areas outside the remit of this function by other leaders within the business
- Determine stakeholder reporting requirements to assist in making informed decisions on quarterly health of Enterprise business
- Continually meet tight deadlines to achieve business requirements for ICS.
- Continuous Improvement: Ability to move from an environment of low process and tool maturity to a highly systemized, streamlined processes and supporting toolset.
- Managing the relationships (in some cases without delegated authority) with other departments that provide administrative and operations services that are a key dependency for the effective performance of this role
- The ability to drive negotiated outcomes that are satisfactory to the team and wider business with different senior-level stakeholders who have differing priorities and viewpoints, as well as expectations.
- Provide independent assurance and recommendations to ensure a high degree of quality and level of comfort that business and client expectations are being met consistently without bias and a willingness to challenge stakeholders on how best to meet these expectations.
Experience required:
- Due to the requirement to hold an Australian Government security clearance, the position holder must be an Australian Citizen.
- P30 Foundation and/or PMBOK or Prince2
- Demonstrated experience in a PMO / P3O / EPMO Management role
- Experience in Portfolio and / or Program Management roles
- Experience in management insights and control frameworks
- Experience in Operational and/or Management Consulting
