Who we are
Ordermentum is the platform powering how Australia's hospitality industry trades. 50,000+ cafes, restaurants and bars, over half the venues in the country, use Ordermentum to order $2b+ a year from over 1,000 of Australia's best local suppliers. We started as an ordering platform but we're building something bigger: the infrastructure that helps venues and suppliers trade smarter, operate leaner, and grow faster. In May 2026, we closed a $55 million investment from Five V Capital - backing that validates where we're headed and funds the next phase of growth. That growth starts with our sales team. That's where you come in.
About the Role
We're looking for a hungry, resilient SDR to join our venue sales team. You'll be the first conversation a venue has with Ordermentum - helping them understand how bringing their ordering, payments and insights relationships onto one platform can save time, cut costs and give them a clearer picture of how their business is actually performing. This isn't about cold calls. You'll be a consultant - uncovering pain points, sparking interest, and driving adoption of the tools that make a real difference to venue operators.
This role is part of a deliberate expansion of our sales team off the back of our recent $55m raise - you'll be joining at exactly the right moment, with the backing, resources and momentum to make a real impact. We believe the future of our sales organisation starts with our SDRs, which is why we invest heavily in your training, development and career growth.
What you'll do
- Own outbound and inbound prospecting - identify, qualify and engage venue leads via phone, email and other channels
- Be the bridge between a venue's first conversation with Ordermentum, their first order and beyond. Build genuine relationships with venue operators, understand their business and show them a better way
- Drive adoption of Ordermentum's platform features, not just activation
- Use product behaviour signals and data to prioritise the right venues at the right time
- Partner with Account Managers to hand over qualified opportunities and support expansion
- Feed insights back to the product, marketing and data teams to sharpen our GTM strategy
- Test, iterate and help build the playbooks that define how we sell
What you'll bring
- 1+ years experience in sales or sales development - hospitality industry knowledge is a bonus
- A track record of hitting or exceeding targets
- Resilience and hunger - you don't wait for leads to come to you
- Comfort with data and CRM tools, and curiosity about how AI can make you sharper
- Strong communication skills and high empathy - you listen before you pitch
- A genuine interest in the hospitality industry and the venues we serve
Nice to haves
- Experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment
- Familiarity with product-led sales motions or intent-based prospecting
- You spot inefficiency and do something about it - you'd rather build a better way than work around a broken one
