This role leads the NSW Field Sales team, guiding Territory Managers to drive growth across all PepsiCo categories through effective planning, selling, and execution aligned with company strategy. The Field Sales Manager builds strong customer relationships to secure enhanced execution agreements while leading new business initiatives. A key focus is developing team capability through consistent delivery of the “Big 3” — Planning Meetings, 1:1s, and Coaching Days.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Territory Managers to deliver mutual growth for customers and PepsiCo through flawless execution of customer plans and call compliance.
  • Build and leverage strong relationships with Multi Site Operators (MSOs) to influence inventory and off-location activities, leveraging incentives and category insights.
  • Utilize scan data to identify opportunities and review activity effectiveness, making data-driven decisions in MSO meetings.
  • Drive team capability through quality induction, effective 1:1s, team meetings, and coaching days, ensuring the use of all tools and processes.
  • Ensure appropriate use and maintenance of all tools of trade, such as vehicles, phones, iPads, and POS.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to execute Power of One opportunities and lead the state new business drive, focusing on licensed sectors to meet annual targets

Qualifications

About you:

  • Understand the customer supply chain to effectively influence On Shelf Availability.
  • Identify in-store sales growth opportunities aligned with key Blueprint objectives and develop plans to enhance in-store execution.
  • Interpret and utilize category data in all customer interactions to drive informed decisions.
  • Engage in natural selling conversations with customers that lead to actionable outcomes.
  • Anticipate and address customer objections using negotiation techniques during sales presentations.
  • Apply retail mathematics and data effectively in sales discussions with retailers.
  • Prioritize workload and manage time efficiently to meet business expectations and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve both individual and team goals.
  • Generate and share best practice ideas with the team to foster continuous improvement.
