We are seeking a Quality Frontline Manager to support the Quality Manager in driving site-wide compliance with quality systems and processes, ensuring all quality and food safety KPIs are met or exceeded. The role empowers front-line teams to effectively execute testing and quality procedures while coordinating daily laboratory activities to deliver operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Quality Systems & Compliance: Maintain and improve Food Safety and Quality Systems, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external audit frameworks.
- Verification & Improvement: Coordinate audits, calibrations, reporting, and verification activities to drive continuous improvement.
- Quality Investigations: Manage consumer complaint investigations, ensuring effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Equipment & Testing: Ensure quality and analytical equipment is calibrated, maintained, and fit for purpose.
- People & Capability: Train, coach, and support plant personnel and Laboratory Technicians across shifts on quality programs and safe work practices.
- Leadership & Communication: Lead laboratory teams, allocate resources effectively, manage performance, and act as a key link between operations and management.
Qualifications
- FMCG & Manufacturing: 3+ years in FMCG manufacturing or supply chain with knowledge of snack food processing and packaging.
- Leadership: Experience supervising or managing technical/quality teams.
- Laboratory & Testing: Skilled in analytical and microbiological testing including calibration and troubleshooting of instruments.
- Quality Systems: Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, sanitation and GFSI-aligned Quality Management Systems.
- Problem Solving: Experienced in investigating non-conformances, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Technical Systems: Proficient in SAP, DVC, Excel; project and change management experience; tertiary qualification in food science or related field (desirable).
