Due to an internal movement, we have an opportunity for an experienced Raw Materials Frontline Manager to join our Smith’s Snackfood manufacturing team in Tingalpa.

This role is ideal for a leader with a strong background in food or FMCG manufacturing who understands the critical link between raw material availability, production performance, food safety, and site KPIs. You will lead and develop the raw materials and processing teams to deliver site performance, continuous improvement, and AOP targets across cost, quality, service, safety, people, and environmental objectives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate management and reconciliation of all direct and indirect inventory, including master data integrity, cycle counts, and stock take activities.
  • Lead inventory control processes, resolving discrepancies, managing aged/on-hold stock, transport claims, and supporting pallet and asset management.
  • Deliver service performance on time and in full while maintaining product quality and compliance with quality systems and regulatory standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within inventory operations and foster a strong continuous improvement culture across the team.
  • Provide effective people leadership, including performance management, training, cross-skilling, and capability development.
  • Champion health, safety, and environmental compliance, ensuring adherence to company policies and achievement of corporate KPIs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar managerial role preferably within Raw Materials or Warehousing

  • Working knowledge of SAP ERP and inventory management systems, with solid financial, analytical, and reporting capability.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams to achieve performance targets while fostering a strong team-based culture.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, analyse issues, and implement effective solutions.
  • Sound understanding of food safety, HACCP principles, modern process control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in science, engineering, logistics, or a related discipline, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
