Protiviti is seeking someone passionate about privacy, business continuity, and operational resilience to join our growing team as an experienced Technology Risk Senior Consultant.

Within our Technology Risk and Resilience team at Protiviti, your specialisation will be in privacy, business continuity, and operational resilience. Your focus will also extend to ensuring business continuity and operational resilience, with knowledge of CPS230, DORA, and SOCI.

Position

As a Manager, you are responsible for overall client satisfaction and as leaders on multiple programs of work, you will ensure that each engagement reflects the specific needs of the client and is performed in line with our quality and risk standards.

Managers work with our Managing Directors to ensure that our clients are satisfied with our services and the quality of our work for each engagement.

You will be joining a high-performance team with a track record of developing new business opportunities in high-profile Australian organisations.

As a Manager, you will get the opportunity to:

  • Work across different organisations and industries spending significant time with clients to understand their business problems and opportunities
  • Contribute on the delivery of projects that will improve overall technology risk posture and operational resilience of our financial services and critical infrastructure clients.
  • This may include assessing and benchmarking our clients' risk and resilience capabilities against regulatory requirements (e.g. CPS 230, CPS 234, SOCI Act and DORA) and industry practices, developing and implementing frameworks, policies and, procedures in response to client and regulatory needs.
  • Deliver professional and highly valued consulting services to our clients, helping them find solutions to their address their problems and capitalise on their opportunities
  • Serve as both role model and trainer to junior team members through demonstrating the attributes of excellent client service and assisting team members in developing their technical and professional competency.
  • Identifying issues and areas of opportunities and risks as part of high-quality deliverable reports to help our clients improve and future proof their technology and business processes.

Position Requirements

  • A minimum of four years' experience in industry or consulting roles.
  • Excellent communication skills capable of articulating business strengths and weaknesses while offering constructive solutions.
  • Proven ability to nurture effective client relationships.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience is essential.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
  • Experience in:
  • Data governance / privacy, cyber security for information and/or operational technologies, technology strategy and enterprise / solution architecture, digital trust and resilience, and technology risk

In addition, an understanding of the following is highly desirable:

  • Regulatory requirements related to operational risk and operational resilience, including but not limited to CPS 220, CPS 230, CPS 231 and CPS 232, SOCI Act and DORA.
  • Technology / third-party / operational risk management and operational resilience (including business continuity, crisis management and disaster recovery)
