Rheinmetall Defence Australia is proud to be announced the Winner of the Veterans’ Employer of the Year – Large category in the Prime Minister’s Veterans’ Employment Program Awards in 2020. Veteran’s engagement is a deeply engaging commitment for RDA. We have a strong cohort of Veterans working on projects and tasks as diverse as financial reporting, project management, procurement and human resources management on major programs we are delivering for the Commonwealth of Australia. (Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence)
Officially opened by the Prime Minister of Australia on 11 October 2020, MILVEHCOE is our new APAC headquarters. Our state-of-the-art, best in class defence facility is set on 11 hectares of land next to the Brisbane River in Redbank. This centre will be where Australian workers will produce some of the most advanced armoured vehicles in the world!
With our facility having only finished construction mid-2020, careful consideration was taken with the layout and design of the property, to ensure we cater for the needs of our valued employees. Including but not limited to, full accessibility, onsite carparks, end of trip facilities, full access bathrooms with showers, toilets, lockers and self-care appliances, dedicated lockable and private meeting rooms for breastfeeding, a fully functioning first aid room, multiple kitchens, fridges, coffee machines, fresh filtered water and an onsite catered cafeteria. In our corporate office spaces, sit-stand desks are available along with any other aides required to cater to personal needs to ensure we can all do our jobs effectively.

Rheinmetall Defence Australia’s Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence
Rheinmetall is pleased to confirm the opening of its Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE) in Redbank, Queensland, Australia and the establishment of a new national sovereign military vehicle capability that enables the design, development and local manufacture of military vehicles, platforms and turrets for the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and export to like-minded nations.
