About the role
We are looking for a Maintenance Integrator to proactively optimise planned maintenance across our Pilbara Mines, Rail and Ports whilst also identifying opportunities and communicating risks. This role has a high level of stakeholder engagement and internal collaboration which will also involve a degree of site travel.
This role is a great opportunity to directly add value to Rio Tinto’s Integrated Operations in the Pilbara. Working a 6days on, 6 days off roster and reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance Integration, you will be:
Demonstrating safety leadership in discussions with sites while assessing perceived pressure
Reviewing and challenging planned maintenance with the view of optimising alignments whilst complying with the Integrated Asset Maintenance strategy
Reconciling learning's from past shuts, challenge current assumptions on maintenance alignment and develop strategies to minimise impact or utilise opportunity across the system.
Proactively identify and deliver cost and volume improvements
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
Excellent Communication Skills and stakeholder engagement
Excellent Problem solving and negotiation skills.
Strong background in one of the following Fixed Plant Maintenance Planning / Shutdown Management, Track Maintenance Planning/Scheduling or Integrated Operations Scheduling.
Ability to understand complex issues and communicate to different levels in the organisation with the actions required
Understanding of the Supply Chain and the flow on consequences/effects of decisions made
A Continuous Improvement focus
A current and valid manual ‘C Class’ driver's license
It will also be beneficial if you have:
Tertiary qualification in a discipline such as Bachelor of Science; Surveying or Mine Engineering
Knowledge of Rio Tinto Systems eg e.g. NetPASS, Maintenance Shuts Forum, HOS Rail, HOSTC, HOSDI, HOSPort and HOSMine systems
Experience in SAP Maintenance Planning

Our state-of-the-art Operations Centre (OC) located near the Perth domestic airport, operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to coordinate our integrated network of mines, rail, power and ports. It enables all our mines, ports and rail systems to be operated from a single location, optimising site activities from 1,500km away.
