About the role
Become a part of the Rail Governance team, supporting the world’s first automated heavy-haul long distance rail network.
The Rail Governance team provides process and content management services to the Railways Division to achieve and maintain business and regulatory compliance for Rail documentation. As an Analyst Technical Content, you will be writing and maintaining business content in the HTML5 format. The content is managed using single-sourcing principles and consumed by our customers across several systems and mediums.
The nature of content management and the tools used requires you to grasp complex concepts and apply those learned skills to complete tasks in an efficient and productive way. The position would suit a Technical Writer with HTML code writing experience who is organised, methodical, able to troubleshoot, and accustomed with working to strict deadlines.
What the role entails
Key duties include but not limited to:
Create, maintain and retire controlled document content for Rail in consultation with the business, SMEs and authors and in-line with Rail Governance processes
Use and maintain the MadCap Flare content management software
Publish and maintain the Rail Docs library
Use and update the document management system
Participate in and contribute to Rail Governance meetings, discussions and workshops
Apply continuous improvement methods with respect to Rail controlled document content and processes
About you
The Person fulfilling this role needs to have / be able to:
Advanced training in content management or single-sourcing software tools
Prioritise and manage tasks in a team environment
Office 365 and SharePoint
Experience writing processes and procedures within a large organisation
Undertake writing tasks for a geographically diverse audience
Engage with subject matter experts on written content
