About the role
We are looking for a Communities Advisor to coordinate and deliver projects and work across a range of activities associated with the Communities and Social Performance area in Gove, NT.
This role is a great opportunity to focus on technical Communities and Social Performance (CSP) related disciplines such as cultural heritage, land access, agreement negotiation and implementation, community relations and social impacts, Indigenous engagement. Reporting to the Principal Advisor Stakeholder Engagement, you will:
- Develop and maintain a favourable relationship with the surrounding community, actively participating in the local community and developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders through strong engagement and communication.
- Contribute to or develop with community partners and stakeholders, programs or activities, which address areas of mutual interest.
- Identify and respond to local community and stakeholder issues.
- Apply professional knowledge and expertise in order to advise on, and contribute to the resolution of different CSP situations and challenges.
- Support the dissemination of information to the local community and gather feedback from residents and stakeholders.
- Manage commitments and local partnerships, reporting on milestones, performance and value.
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Experience in Stakeholder Relations or Community Relations is essential.
- Experience in the resources industry would be advantageous.
- Tertiary qualifications and/or University Degree in a related discipline
- Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and presenting skills combined with initiative, attention to detail and drive.
