We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Planner Scheduler to join our Western Turner Fixed Plant Operations team at Western Turner 2 to help us excel at safely maintaining fixed plant, consisting of gyratory crushers, apron feeders and conveyors through effective maintenance planning.
About the role
Reporting to the Superintendent Western Turner Syncline Plant Operations and working in a dynamic and exciting environment you will be responsible for:
- Detail planning & scheduling of jobs in SAP, capturing improvement changes, developing estimations of resource requirements and materials; utilising the Work Management & Shut Management Processes;
- Prioritising work with the Supervisors, Superintendents and external departments, utilising your considerable stakeholder and relationship building skills;
- Ability to think outside the box to safely reduce shutdown duration's where possible;
- Participation in Zero Based Budget development;
- Work closely with a variety of stakeholders across the organisation to identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement and ensure there is effective communication of the plans to ensure appropriate risk management strategies are in place.
About you
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team;
- Demonstrated skills in maintenance planning or scheduling within the resources industry;
- Strong mechanical, electrical or shutdown experience in fixed plant;
- Detail understanding of Work Management and Zero-Based Budgeting principles;
- Previous experience utilising a Computerised Maintenance Management System (SAP experience will be highly regarded);
- A current and valid manual ‘C Class’ driver's license.Tom Price holds a proud place in Rio Tinto history, being the first of its iron mines in the Pilbara. Western Turner 2 is part of the Tom Price Mine, located approximately 35km from the Tom Price Process Plant. The Western Turner Operation is essential to deliver iron ore to the processing plant which will have a capacity to produce 36 million tonnes per annum, underpinning the production of the Pilbara Blend, Rio Tinto’s flagship iron ore product.
