The Role and Your Responsibilities
The Academic Administration Officer will join our team dedicated to providing expert advice and high-level administration and organisational services. The position operates within a team framework and is expected to provide high level support to the academic activities of the School. The position will be assigned a specialist area to be determined in consultation with the Senior Manager, Planning and Resources through the University annual work planning process.
Skills & Experience Required
To be considered for this opportunity you will have excellent knowledge and understanding of the academic and university environment and a sound knowledge of University administration; along with strong organisational skills, together with adaptability and capacity to investigate and apply new methods of administration and organisation. In addition, you will have demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a team environment with a high level of initiative; and proven expertise in the co-ordination of people, services and projects, including the ability to plan, prioritise and coordinate activities. You should be able to show a demonstrated ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures; sound analytical, problem solving and research skills and finally hold high level interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
