The Role and Your Responsibilities
The Academic Services Coordinator is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of academic and student administrative support and advice to staff and students across the School’s disciplines. The main function of the role is to coordinate tasks and administrative staff, in collaboration with the Team Leader, Academic Services. In addition, the role is responsible for handling more complex processes and tasks within the team.
Skills & Experience Required
To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience providing a high level of timely and accurate administration services to various stakeholders, such as staff, students and committees. Exposure leading and mentoring other administration staff within a collaborative and dynamic team is essential to this position. This role will contribute to continuous improvement by undertaking project work aimed at increasing operational efficiency and excellent staff and student service.
You will have the ability to engage and build relationships with all levels of stakeholders, have excellent organisational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks within conflicting deadlines. You will have a high level of computer literacy including the ability to coach and train others in new systems and processes. In addition, you will have a high proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word and Excel) and exposure to IT databases.
Previous experience working within a tertiary education setting with exposure to academic administration services, policies and procedures, is advantageous.
Qualifications
You will have:
- Relevant undergraduate degree, and/or
- Significant practical experience in an administrative or coordination role
