What is our Aboriginal Identified Civil Construction Apprenticeship Program?
This is a three year program that combines paid work and structured training, allowing you to learn a trade and receive a nationally accredited qualification upon completion. Civil Construction Apprentices can specialise in two areas: Road Construction or Bridge Construction. It is a hands-on position working outdoors with a crew of experienced road/bridge workers.

The apprenticeship program is a combination of on the job training and TAFE delivered training

Commencing pay rates vary with each Apprenticeship for junior apprentices (under 21) and for adult apprentices (over 21) plus applicable allowances, employer’s superannuation contribution and annual leave loading

Receive a nationally recognised Trade Certification.

Who can apply?
Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people who have completed Year 10 or obtained a (RoSA (Record of School Achievement) are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will be required to verify Aboriginality prior to an offer of employment.
You must hold a minimum Red P drivers licence at the time of application or be able to obtain one within 6 months.
Anyone 16 years or older can apply. You can be a school-leaver, re-entering the workforce or a mature aged worker simply wishing to change careers. People of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Please note: If you already hold a Certificate III or above in Civil Construction, you may not be eligible to apply for this role.
