The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an Accountant to be a part of our Statutory Reporting team within the Finance and Investment division of Roads and Maritime Services. This is an exciting time to join Roads and Maritime Services as we deliver one of the most complex and integrated motorway networks in the world.
As part of this high performing Finance team within RMS you will provide a broad range of financial management services in order to meet internal and external reporting requirements, statutory compliance requirements and support the achievement of RMS business requirements.
We are seeking a proactive individual who can expertly manage competing priorities, deadlines and inputs from multiple internal and external stakeholders. You are a highly organised Accountant who seeks out continuous improvements and champions best practice. You will have a genuine interest in contributing to Sydney’s unprecedented infrastructure delivery.

The salary for this position is USS 9 ($109,079 - $117,262) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
Essential requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in financial management and accounting and professional membership with either CPA, Australia (CPA) or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ).

Demonstrated experience working in a complex financial mangement environment including financial analysis, reporting, and financial statement preparation in line with legislative and other requirements.

Demonstrated success participating in a variety of finance projects, prioritising, and meeting expected timelines.

Demonstrated personal contributions to business process or reporting improvements.
