About the role:

We’re looking for our new Crushing Field Service Technician to join our team on a permanent basis.

As part of the Technical Support Team, you will provide aftermarket maintenance and quality support of Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions equipment/ components at Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions facilities and on customer sites.

Specifically, you will:

  • Perform mechanical and process maintenance at customer mine sites Australia-wide.

  • Identify, report, and resolve technical issues safely and efficiently.

  • Carry out installation and commissioning of new Sandvik equipment

  • Follow on-site leadership direction and work independently when required.

  • Comply with all HSEQ, safety procedures, and customer site requirements.

  • Attend training, meetings, and be available for after-hours call-outs.

A little about you:

While we offer training and development, we are looking for someone with the following skills to ensure you are set up for success:

  • Experience servicing mineral processing and fixed plant equipment in the mining industry (Fixed plant crushing and screening highly regarded).

  • Strong technical skills in Crushing and Screening Preventative Maintenance and Service Repairs, Hydraulic repair, Automation setup maintenance and troubleshooting, fault finding, and problem solving.

  • Commitment to safety with sound knowledge of isolation procedures and site safety standards.

  • Flexible and site-ready: able to travel, work weekends, stay away from home, and mobilise at short notice.

  • Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter, Boilermaker or Deisel mechanic, current driver’s licence (or willingness to obtain), and ability to complete site documentation and required tickets/clearances.
