About us

View website

Talison Lithium offers a career opportunity unlike any other, the chance to help create a better future. The work we do at our Greenbushes Lithium Operation provides the lithium needed for renewable technologies and supports the global shift toward cleaner energy.

Talison Lithium strives to create a welcoming and team- based culture for our highly skilled residential workforce at Greenbushes in the State’s South West and our Perth corporate headquarters.

The experience and expertise of Talison Lithium’s leadership team provides continuity and stability and upholds a proud track record of community focus and demonstrated commitment to the environment.

The expansion project at Greenbushes has also seen recruitment of new staff with new ideas who are contributing to the ongoing growth and development of the Greenbushes operations.

Talison Lithium aims to maximise local employment where possible, which means recruiting people who live in and around our local communities of Greenbushes, Bridgetown, Donnybrook, Nannup, Boyup Brook and Manjimup.

OUR VALUES

Our Values capture what is most important to our employees and drive the behaviour of every person in our organisation:

WE CARE ABOUT EACH OTHER

We look after the people around us.

We respect each other and work as a team.

We communicate openly and honestly to build a culture of safety and trust where everyone’s voice matters

WE CARE ABOUT DOING THE RIGHT THING

We take responsibility for our actions, work with integrity and do what we say we’ll do.

We are accountable for how our decisions and behaviour affect others, including our community.

We prioritise safety and look after our environment.

WE CARE ABOUT A BETTER FUTURE

We strive to make each day better than the one before.

We focus on excellence, sustainability and improvement.

We know our choices can make a big difference, as we work together to create a better future.

TRAINEESHIPS
Talison Lithium provides school leavers in the district and other interested people with the opportunity to undertake one year traineeships in various departments across the Greenbushes site. Up to six traineeships are offered each year to give young people the opportunity to work and study, gaining valuable life skills important to establish a firm foundation for future studies or career development. The traineeships incorporate a formal qualification through a registered training organisation. Traineeships are offered in Laboratory Studies, Allied Health, Mine Surveying, Administration and Business and Work, Health and Safety and Infrastructure.

APPRENTICESHIPS
Talison Lithium understands the importance of attracting and retaining a highly skilled workforce. The future of our industry is also dependent on encouraging young people to take up a career in mining whether it be technical positions or trades. We take on a minimum of two apprentices each year at our Greenbushes mine site in the fields of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering.

Underpinned by a one‑of‑a‑kind deposit, Greenbushes is the world’s highest‑grade and one of the largest hard‑rock lithium resources. Whether you are based in Perth, Bunbury or on site in Greenbushes, you can help shape real change while staying connected to the lifestyle and community you value, and the best part is you can still be home every night.

We invest deeply in our people through career development, leadership pathways and genuine support as we grow. We also care for the place we work, restoring, protecting and strengthening the region for future generations. If you are looking for meaningful work, long‑term growth and the chance to build a better future, it starts here at Talison.

Culture at Talison Lithium Pty Ltd

quote image
I have been a proud Talison employee for 11 years, and during that time I have had many opportunities to grow, move into different roles, and continue learning new things. Talison has supported me in pursuing areas I am passionate about, while also providing the flexibility I need to manage my family commitments. I value the chance to work with diverse people across the business and to be part of a team that encourages collaboration, development, and continuous improvement. The support I have received to expand my education has also helped me build my skills and confidence, and I am grateful for the experiences and opportunities that have shaped my career here. As a working parent of three children, I have personally experienced the importance of balancing family commitments with a fulfilling career. Throughout my time at Talison, I have been fortunate to receive strong support from the organisation, which has enabled me to successfully manage both my professional responsibilities and family life. This support has reinforced my appreciation for Talison’s commitment to creating a flexible and inclusive workplace where employees can thrive both at work and at home.
