What will you do?
Reporting to the GM of Finance we have an exciting opportunity due to promotion in the Wesfarmers division for an experienced Senior Finance Manager Business Services & Improvement within the business. This is a highly visible role to the Leadership Team.
The primary purpose of this role is to lead the supplier services, stock integrity functions and be responsible for strategic change. This involves team leadership across TSSO and Bangalore teams, review and maintenance of internal controls and governance, responsibility for working capital health, ownership and approval of payments processes, oversight of annual stocktake and inventory management, and process improvements.
Area of Accountabilities and Key responsibilities as follows:
Leadership
- Provide clear direction around performance goals and regular feedback.
- Support team member development and capability building.
- Build a positive team culture and improve overall engagement.
Internal Controls and Compliance
- Develop internal controls to effectively manage the application of accounting policies.
- Accountable for personal and team compliance with internal company policies and procedures, and all applicable external laws, regulations, standards and industry codes.
Strategic Process Improvement
- Owner of procurement initiatives within Target, working with Kmart Group procurement function.
- Deliver strategic change initiatives within Finance function.
- Identify process improvements and efficiencies.
Supplier Services Management
- Oversee supplier relationships, dispute resolution, reconciliation and payment approval process.
- Analysis and forecasting of Payables.
- FX exposure analysis and management.
- Proactive communication and regular reporting of issues.
Stock Integrity Management
- Oversee inventory management processes to ensure integrity is maintained and all risks are escalated.
- Oversee the annual stocktake.
What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate for this role is a high achiever and motivated individual who is experienced, collaborative and has extensive exposure across the operations of a business and therefore the ability to drive process improvement and efficiencies.
We are seeking an individual who has highly developed communication and presentation skills, strong team leadership, exceptional attention to detail with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders and managing multiple priorities under pressure.
To be successful in this role:
- 7-10 years experience in a similar role in a large scale organisation (Experience in retail environment desired)
- Advanced experience in balance sheet and cash flow management
- Experience in application of accounting standards
- Experience in audit management and maintaining internal controls
- Leading, engaging and motivating teams
- Ability to build relationships and communications with senior stakeholders
- CA/CPA Qualified – MBA Highly desirable
