Role Overview:
The Community and Communications officer will support our external communication efforts. Their responsibilities will encompass a wide range of communication activities, including community relations, marketing, branding, and digital/social engagement.
Reporting to the Community and Stakeholder Engagement Advisor, the Community and Communications officer will develop and implement marketing strategies to promote Tilt Renewables and enhance our brand image. Effective coordination with internal teams and external partners will ensure consistent messaging and branding across all marketing material and channels. This role demands a combination of strategic thinking, influencing skills, and a proven track record in managing complex communication projects.
Key Accountabilities:
The key accountabilities may include (but are not limited to):
1. Digital and social engagement:
- Regularly review and execute the social media strategy to increase brand awareness and engagement.
- Create compelling content for various marketing channels aligned with Tilt’s purpose and values. This includes managing the company's webpage and LinkedIn profile.
- Engage with industry stakeholders and participate in relevant social media discussions.
2. External Communications:
- Coordinate and manage external events, including windfarm openings, commencement of construction and other corporate events.
- Organise site visits and meetings for key stakeholders.
- Manage corporate sponsorship opportunities and partnerships.
- Review key corporate publications to ensure accuracy and alignment with company messaging.
- Support crisis communication plans and crisis communications during sensitive situations.
3. Marketing and Branding:
- Update and maintain the company website, including policy, careers, community, and project pages.
- Promote events and conferences through various marketing channels and design promotional materials.
- Manage brand identity and ensure consistency in look and feel across all communication materials.
- Oversee merchandise management and distribution in co-ordination with community, project and operational teams.
Skills and Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience gained within marketing and communications roles, with a focus on external communications.
- Experience managing websites and social media platforms and use of analytics to measure effectiveness.
- Use of data to evaluate the efficacy of communication efforts and refine strategies.
- Proven experience in event management and ability to work with industry partners for events.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to apply fresh thinking to a strategy that sparks innovation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences and platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft office suite.
- Willingness to travel domestically to attend events and conferences and site locations. (approx. 20%)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
- Full Drivers license
