About the team
The Office of the Chief Executive supports the delivery and operation of Sydney Metro. Our team sets the overarching governance and strategic framework to ensure we’re going in the right direction.
We also work closely with Transport for NSW, Infrastructure NSW and NSW Government Ministers and Cabinet to ensure Sydney Metro connects seamlessly with our total integrated, multi-modal future transport system.
Currently we are looking for two (2) experienced Permanent Fulltime Contract Managers with excellent commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement experience to join the team.
The opportunity
We know the work we do is vital in assisting Sydney’s economic development and, it’s the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart.
In this role, you will provide contract subject matter expertise to support the procurement activities of one of the major program of works within a Sydney Metro project.
The role manages commercial contracts from award to completion, including supplier relationship development, contract performace and risk management, to meet stakeholder expectations and business requirements.

About you
You are a tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline or are a seasoned Contract Manager or Category Management specialist looking for an opportunity to make a real impact, in shaping the future of NSW. The successful candidate will have a commercial acumen and experience in managing large and complex contracts in a Government Agency or highly regulated organisation.
You have extensive stakeholder experience with the ability to maintain stakeholder and strategic supplier relationships and are able to identify and minimise risk, resolve issues as they arise and able to maximise value from the contract.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is Grade 9A ($135,000) – 9E ($152,000) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
