Transport for NSW is the lead agency of the NSW Transport cluster. Our role is to lead the development of a safe, efficient, integrated transport system that keeps people and goods moving, connects communities and shapes the future of our cities, centres and regions.
We are responsible for strategy, planning, policy, regulation, funding allocation and other non-service delivery functions for all modes of transport in NSW including road, rail, ferry, light rail, point to point, regional air, cycling and walking.
We focus on improving the customer experience and contract public and private operators to deliver customer-focused transport services on our behalf.
We also lead the procurement of transport infrastructure and oversee delivery through project delivery offices and industry delivery partners.

About the Team
The Safety, Environment and Regulation division upholds safety and sustainability in our transport system. We’re working to deliver globally-recognised, safe, sustainable transport for our people, customers and the community.
The Regulatory Operations Branch is part of Safety, Environment and Regulation and is responsible for ensuring safer people, safer vehicle, safe speeds and safer roads to protect Transport’s customers and NSW communities.
The Customer Licensing team within Regulatory Operations is focussing on Safer People Outcomes through managing the register of licences including demerit points, photo cards, medical fitness and sanctions, as well as end-to-end management and accreditation of licensing schemes.
The Vehicle Safety team within Regulatory Operations is focussing on Safer Vehicles Outcomes through managing the registers for Vehicles and Written-Off Vehicles including vehicle registration, vehicle identity and vehicle identification, vehicle standards and enquiries, as well as end-to-end management and accreditation of vehicle schemes and programs.
The opportunity
We have two fantastic opportunities for experienced Executive Assistants to provide assistance to the Director of Customer Licensing or the Director of Vehicle Safety Whichever Director you are supporting you will will develop a close working relationship, providing high level, efficient, administrative,clerical support and diary management to contribute to the effective operation of the business unit the Director has responsibility for.
The role involves lots of stakeholder engagement particularly working closely with the Executive Director’s office and all stakeholders across the unit, branch and division.

About you
We are looking for experienced Executive Assistants who have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities. The ideal candidates will be used to working under pressure and can present a calm demeanour and deliver on the tight deadlines.
You will be professional, resilient, reliable and flexible, with superior organisational skills and the ability to continually prioritise and re-prioritise as circumstances change.
You will have experience working with senior people in an organisation and managing their diaries, ensuring that conflicting priorities are managed well, while also managing the emails of the Director to ensure that he/she is alerted to matters which require his/her attention whilst ensuring that confidentiality is maintained.
Your stakeholder management and relationship skills will enable you to build and maintain relationships with all staff within the section, in particular senior managers across the branch and the Office of the Executive Director so you can facilitate timely responses to a range of requests.
This is an exciting role as you will be joining Transport for NSW during a period of change and growth and will enable you through your support to the Director contribute to the safety of NSW roads.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is Transport Grade 4 ($73,952 - $81,346) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
