The Opportunity
Right now, we have an opportunity for a Health & Safety Advisor to join the Health & Safety Project Delivery team, where you will provide a range of specialist and consulting services to support the development, implementation and maintenance of health and safety systems and governance to ensure the on-going compliance with all relevant health and safety legislative, regulatory and incident response readiness requirements.
You will be involved in:
- Maintain the Health and Safety Management Plans, standards and procedures to comply with relevant national and international standards, meet project and business objectives and ensure a secure, safe-working environment
- Provide technical expertise and professional advice on health and safety issues as necessary to support compliance assurance and change control processes
- Provide specialised input to health and safety training requirements including Safety Inductions and Core Safety Competencies to promote safe working practices
- Participate in compliance health and safety assurance activities with Delivery Partners
- Provide independent verification of health and safety and risk reports / assessments, where required
- Undertake and Participate site and other investigations and validations, ensuring clarity and implementation of recommendations where appropriate.
About you
You will have previous experience in a similar position supported by relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent preferably from a from a construction/project delivery, rail or transport environment.
You will be proactive and someone who takes responsibility for delivering on intended outcomes with the highest level of quality customer-focused service. Along with the ability to communicate well as you will working with stakeholders internally and externally at all levels.
Essential requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience

Salary and Benefits
Transport Service Grade 8 ($118.015 - $132,176) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
