As DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, configuration, and management of critical IT systems that power our business operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security of our infrastructure.
In this role you will:
- Work across functional teams to support the diagnosis and troubleshooting of complex issues impacting engineering and solution delivery.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of endpoint systems with minimal direction and engage in project work when required.
This continuing position is full time and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land).
How will you inspire us?
You will have:
- Demonstrated capabilities with desktop technologies including Windows and/or Mac Managed Operating Environment (MOE), imaging, packaging, deployment, support and maintenance.
- Experience with automation, scripting, configuration, cloud-based deployment and monitoringand current core technologies such as SCCM, JAMF, EPAM, Intune, physical and virtual labs.
- Experience operating in an Agile environment using SCRUM - Jira and confluence experience will be highly regarded.
- Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels, you will have a key focus on ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
What we offer
The remuneration for this position is from $82,707 + 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.

- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field preferably in a DevOps capacity with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist DevOps expertise or broad knowledge in a relevant technical field; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated ability to write code and experience with automation, configuration, and application performance management tools and current web technologies including enterprise network, database, systems integration and desktop engineering technologies including but not limited to Research Solutions and Interactive technologies (i.e. AV solutions for teaching and learning initiatives).
- Demonstrated experience in service management, information security, Cloud and/or agile practices and processes within a continuous delivery and integration environment and an understanding or commitment to understanding the practical application of DevOps Engineering principles.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to participate in a team environment demonstrating clear communication and mutual respect.
